What’s your role at Back Bar USA? Briefly describe your position.

Director of Operations and Supplier Relations

What do you enjoy most about working at Back Bar, and what is your favorite part of your position?

I really enjoy the culture we have created at Back Bar USA, it helps motivate and inspire staff to be their best self every day. My favorite part of my position is the diversity of the work I do, it keeps me on my toes and ensures that no day is like any other.

What has been your favorite project and why?

I have many favorite projects, but if I had to choose just one it would be For the Love of Cocktails. FTLOC is an amazing charity event and the money raised goes towards The Helen David Relief Fund, which was designed to assist bartenders afflicted by breast cancer. Its a win-win event for everyone involved.

Apart from your work at Back Bar, what hobbies do you have outside of the office?

Travel, travel, travel! There is something magical about waking up in a country where you are ignorant of almost everything. Figuring out the unknown is the exciting part! 29 countries down and only 166 to go…no pressure!

What’s on your bucket list?

The 166 countries mentioned above.

Favorite place you’ve traveled?

I have many favorites…Rome, Venice, Budapest, and Prague, to name a few.

What is something that you highly recommend / couldn’t live without? This could be a book, product, restaurant, etc.

I couldn’t live without Arizona Zero Green Tea…I’m addicted!

What’s the last book you read?

I’m currently reading Why We Sleep, by Matthew Walker, PhD, recommended by my son. It’s quite an interesting read, promising to transform my understanding and appreciation of sleep and dreams.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your 18-year-old self?

Permission to fail…its instrumental for growth.

#1 Friday playlist song:

Anything Halsey.

Condiment of choice:

Salsa Verde…it goes with everything!

What are some of your pet peeves?

Unkind people

What is the best gift you’ve ever given and the best you’ve ever received?

The best gift I’ve received is my boys Brandon and Beau. They have changed me! The best gift given, is the same answer…I’m confident their generation can and will change the world.
